CHALLENGE
When the Ethereum community, led by Vitalik Buterin, chose Lustica Bay as the host location for Zuzalu — a pioneering pop-up city for thinkers and innovators — the organisers faced a spatial limitation.
They needed a flexible, inspiring environment capable of hosting over 200 participants for talks, workshops, and collective experiences, in a location with no pre-existing infrastructure of that scale.
SOLUTION
DDS envisioned a 14-metre geodesic dome positioned dramatically on the marina breakwater — a structure that became both architectural landmark and intellectual sanctuary.
Despite challenging conditions — tight timelines, coastal exposure, and complex logistics — the dome was completed flawlessly.
Its organic geometry, panoramic views and immersive acoustics transformed it into a futuristic temple of ideas, fostering dialogue, innovation, and community.
